Took some time to complete the "About Me" section, and will continue to improve it later.
About Me#
Nice to meet you! My name is John - an internet/technology enthusiast who likes to tinker with all sorts of things. Although it takes a lot of time, the rewards are also substantial. Being a smart person is great, being able to monitor what I want to monitor, the only downside is not being able to access human thoughts. Two quotes I really like are "I am fortunate to gain, and it is my destiny to lose" and "Have the mindset to accept things that cannot be changed, the courage to change things that can be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish between the two."
A mediocre backend developer, I have various options. As a mediocre person, I also have a little knowledge of Java development and some understanding of frameworks. I have the urge to design my own things, but I haven't put in the effort yet. I'm still working on it, and it's unknown how many years it will take. I'll let you know when the time comes, if you're interested in following me.
Actually, I had the idea of writing a blog a long time ago, but after writing a few times, I found that I couldn't even stand to read my own writing. Many things are in my local notebook, which is probably meaningless, but it still has some significance for me to reflect on the past. Here, let me tell you secretly, never immerse yourself in the past, it really doesn't make sense, it's just a waste of time. If you use your time well in the present, you don't need to worry about the past. Whether you can achieve something or not is up to you. So, I'm still learning in the blog, let's encourage each other!
John#
As for why I'm called John, it's also an accident. I needed an English name in high school, and I couldn't think of a good one after thinking for a long time. Since my English was mediocre, I couldn't come up with a good name. In the end, my classmate came up with one for me. It left a deep impression on me, and I wrote it as "Jhon". Later, Mr. Huang reminded me, should it be "John"? I thought my story with English ended a few years ago, but now I know it will accompany me for a lifetime. I won't stop learning, keep going!
Tiao Tiao Tang#
"Tiao Tiao Tang" is a name I often use, which matches my name. I learned it a long time ago. As for the story, there isn't much to it, it's easy to pronounce.
Notes#
I have used many note-taking apps here, and the ones I have persisted with are:
- Built-in note app on my phone: quite useful, I use it to store passwords.
- Notion: easy to get started with, and there are many templates. Very convenient, and you can even build websites with it.
- Shimo Document: used for daily records, but not in-depth usage.
- GitHub: this is the note-taking app I use most frequently. It's really convenient, just need to learn the basic syntax.
Reflection#
All I can say is: if you can avoid intense liking and expectations, you won't experience such great sorrow. This is a big lesson.
Tinkering Journal#
The main articles are updated on blog.tangzhipeng.top. In addition, I am also working on a digital garden (I haven't fully researched TiddlyWiki yet, will update when I have time) wiki.tangzhipeng.top. There is also a blockchain-based xlog.tangzhipeng.top (mainly for videos), and another one built on Notion, which can be considered my main website > www.tangzhipeng.top.
